This royal park is popular all year round, with swimmers, runners and walkers in the summer, and sledding and sometimes skating on the lake in the winter. Over the centuries, various unusual structures have been built by vaiours monarchs, including the Turkish Pavilion and the Chinese Pagoda, not to mention extraordinary blue-and-gold copper tents dating from the late-18th century that look like they were created for a Narnia movie adaptation. The royal connection continues to this day. The park contains the home of Crown Princess Victoria and husband Prince Daniel, and their children Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar.
