Where Soviet monuments are laid to rest.
Nestled in the forest near the Belarus border, Grūto Parkas contains some 85 statues from when Lithuania was under Communist rule. While many were damaged or destroyed after Lithuania gained their independence in 1991, this "graveyard" contains a collection of those that have been preserved. The descriptions, repetitive nature, artistic style, and random folk music played in the park help lift you from modern day Lithuania to a time of soviet rule.
