El Growler
The beer is brewed on-site at the pub El Growler, but the twist is that you can take it home in a growler. (Fun fact: The reusable bottles got that name back during the Industrial Revolution, when people would carry their beer home in buckets that growled as carbonation escaped along the way.) The Chilean-North American fusion food is made with local ingredients, and the gringo husband of the Chilean-American couple running the show has imported welcome knowledge of Oregon’s craft beer culture to the Chilean River District.
