Greenhorn: Come For The Coffee...Stay For The Food
The West End is the largest neighbourhood in Vancouver's downtown core, and has a broad demographic. Greenhorn Espresso Bar opened up smack in the middle of the West End, in between heritage apartment buildings, corner grocery stores, and a few small shops. This little café has become a mecca for locals, and few tourists end up here. The espresso, coffee and bar drinks are equally delicious (Vancouver's locally roasted Moja beans) but I suggest you come hungry - the food is worth it.

The Short Rib French Dip sandwich and Spanish Tortilla are hits, and the pastries are perfect. Don't leave without sampling something from the menu.

Great recommendation!
I loved this place. Getting there, I walked through a beautiful neighborhood I would not otherwise have discovered. A very hip place with local art displayed in back room. The espresso was spot-on and I had a delicious baguette with Brie and compost - so glad I came !
