Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands is a great experience for any nature lover. Take the 1.5 mile boardwalk around the wetlands, looking out for a variety of species of birds, reptiles, and other animals.
Be sure to bring your camera! The boardwalk allows observers to see birds in their natural habitats, with many different species peacefully coexisting throughout the park. From colorful pink roseate spoonbills, to the large egrets and herons, you are sure to witness the beauty of these majestic creatures.
There are covered areas with benches to rest in if you get tired, but most of the boardwalk is exposed so be sure to wear sunscreen and bring a reusable water bottle.
The nature center features exhibits about native species, where you can see baby alligators or watch a nature video about the wetlands.
Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands is great for all ages and is handicap accessible.
