Tucked away in a traditional hutong alleyway, this Beijing micro-brewery has a steady hum of locals, expats, and adventurous visitors. It can feel like a maze getting here, but it's worth the walk and you get to see some off-the-beaten-path neighbourhoods. I came here with a friend who is a local, but would feel fine doing the walk alone.
This place has a great selection of beer and a beautiful courtyard. You can get flights if you're having trouble deciding on one kind of beer, and feel free to bring in your own snacks. A word of warning: BYO toilet paper, as the only toilet is the public squat toilet right outside.
