Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario was granted a Royal Charter in 1841. Now a world-famous university, it consistently ranks amongst Canada's best. Yet it still retains a sense of community, as the numbers of students attending remains on a human scale and its location outside a large city adds a strong feeling of belonging on those attending. Pictured here is Grant Hall, where the major ceremonies take place.
