Grand Luxxe Riviera Maya

Carretera Federal Cancun - Playa Del Carmen Km. 48, 77710 Playa del Carmen, Q.R., Mexico

I decided to do a Girl’s Getaway this year for my birthday, and celebrated at the Vidanta Grand Luxxe Riviera Maya. But this beachfront property about halfway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen would also be an awesome spot for a destination bachelorette party. What I love most about this property is the super attentive service. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family with every whim attended too. Beyond the service however, the Grand Luxxe, is an awesome spot for a weekend in paradise with your best friends. The two bedroom villa I shared with my friend was not only impeccably decorated, but it was massive and felt very private with the bedrooms on opposite sides of a giant main living room where floor to ceiling doors slid open onto a patio with a private plunge pool. And I loved the luxe extras like L’Occitane spa products and a stand alone soaking tub with views of the sea and aromatherapy bath oils. Away from the rooms, the property, which is part of a larger enclosed complex that includes other Vidanta resorts, offers access to some 17 different restaurants, multiple swimming pools and an in-house Cirque du Soleil show Joya, which is perfect for a special celebratory night (get the VIP experience). The private pearly white sand beach fronts a marbled turquoise ocean, and the main swimming pool is the longest in the Yucatan at 75 meters. And then there is the spa. I spent a half a day here and could have stayed longer. Begin with a session in the salt cave, and then book a deep tissue massage. It was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. For detox style getaways, check out the new 360 Wellness Program, which features two separate programs that incorporate unique spa treatments, fitness activities and healthy meals to keep you on course.
