Gran Teatro Falla
s/n Plaza Fragela
Gran Teatro FallaCádiz’s emblematic theater, the Falla, takes its name from composer Manuel de Falla, an illustrious native of the city. Built between 1884 and 1905, its grand exterior of brickwork and tiling is a brilliant example of Spanish Modernismo style combined with a strong Moorish influence. The theater isn’t open for visits, but it’s worth taking in a matinee (flamenco and jazz are strong points—as are the riotous Carnival nights) for a look at its charming interior.
