Take an historic float down the San Antonio River, near Goliad. Encompassing the site of the ancient Mission Espiritu Santo, this is the first water trail in Texas to include a state park. Full of both riffles and tranquil expanses, it takes kayakers on a 6.6-mile jaunt, loaded with jaw dropping vistas. Sunfish, bass, and catfish await fishing aficionados. Twice a year, Goliad State Park sponsors a crowd pleasing canoe flotilla, wherein a veritable boatload of craft take to the water in unison.
