See the final resting place of the notorious Skagway scoundrel and con artist Jefferson “Soapy” Smith, buried here after losing a gunfight to Frank Reid—who also was injured and died 12 days later, winding up in the same cemetery. An informational board at the entrance provides background about the graveyard and the people buried there. After exploring it, take a short hike along the adjacent trail to the small cascades of Lower Reid Falls.
