Glastonbury Music Festival

9 Northload St, Glastonbury BA6 9JJ, UK

One of the world’s most legendary music festivals, Glastonbury is held in Somerset, England over five days in June. Begun in 1970, it still embraces its counterculture, hippie roots and holds performances on some 900 acres of bucolic farmland – it is the largest green-field music festival in the world. It attracts a A-list line-up that’s annual announcement makes major news -- Coldplay headlined the 2016 event ( the band’s fourth time doing so). Beyond the music, festivalgoers can also experience cabaret, circus, and theater performances in separately set up show spaces. Don’t skip the Sunday morning procession to Stone Circle, which is a small monument overlooking the rolling green hills. It is a Glastonbury festival tradition.
