Based out of the Great Alaskan Tourist Trap, Girdwood Mushing Company offers its Summer Sled Dog Adventure and Scenic Mountain Tour, which includes a stop at the company’s dog kennel. Iditarod musher Nicolas Petit regales visitors with stories about the race and also hooks up the dogs to a wheeled cart for a ride along mountain trails. The tour ends with a Pinzgauer ATV ride to the Puppy Pavilion, where there are photo opportunities and Iditarod memorabilia.
