When you disembark at the Grand Rapids airport, check out the seating at the gates. The airport is filled with tandem slings, the chair designed by the Eameses in the early 1960s. Much like the lounge and ottoman, the tandem chair was made to be durable, comfortable, and, of course, aesthetically appealing—what better chair for an airport? —By Sarah Rich
