Gazarte is a fun multipurpose space in Athens's Gazi neighborhood, a lively place frequented by young Athenians after dark and into the wee hours. Just one stop from Monastiraki by metro, at the Kermeikos station, Gazarte has a beautiful and expansive rooftop bar that opens outdoors during the summer months—where films are also occasionally shown on a giant screen. Also known as a live music venue, Gazarte turned 10 in 2017. Visit the Gazarte website to see what’s on. If you’re in the neighborhood, do check it out. To get to the rooftop, hang a left inside the entrance and climb the stairs or take the elevator.
