Immediately to the west of St.-Tropez, Gassin has been described as one of the most beautiful villages in France. On a hill overlooking the sea, its medieval-era Promenade Dei Barri offers views of the Bay of St.-Tropez and the surrounding countryside; there are also several popular restaurants nearby. As you get lost in the maze of small streets, with their stone and stucco homes accented by bursts of bougainvillea, don’t miss the smallest street of them all: L’Androuno, which measures less than a foot across at its narrowest point.
