Ristorante Gallo d’Oro

Borgo della Salina, 3, 43121 Parma PR, Italy

Ristorante Gallo d’Oro will forever be the place that I fell in love with Parma, and by default perfectly chilled glass of Lambrusco. Stepping in off the cobblestone streets of Parma into the charming and multi-level interior of Gallo d’Oro immediately makes you feel at home. Sitting near the heart of the restaurant to see the cured meats being sliced with precision, pastas prepared with care and the gregarious staff fluttering through the space made it a memorable and immersive meal. Specialities range from antipasti to entrees with incredible flavor and Italian comfort food at it’s core. Plates lend themselves well to ordering several and sharing a bit from all to make sure you don’t miss out on a single taste. I highly recommend the wine of the region - chilled red Lambrusco. I’m still kicking myself for not buying a crate of their house namesake bottle (at an incredibly affordable rate of under 10euro per bottle) and shipping it home - still haven’t found one in my zipcode that compares. An evening at Ristorante Gallo d’Oro will be sure to leave you full and feeling blissful.
