The lightkeepers at Galley Head Lighthouse, County Cork, once lived in these houses, set right beside the lighthouse tower. Perched on dramatic cliffs 130 feet high, there are spectacular sea views from every angle. Inside the houses there are cosy open fires, plus a double and twin bedroom. There are blue flag beaches in the area as well as dolphin and whale watching. A stay here is really getting away from it all but if you feel the urge for shops or pubs, the heritage town of Clonakilty nearby is worth a visit.
