A SLOWWW moverIt was a dream come true for me to experience visiting the Galapagos Islands with my adult children. A trip planned for more than 2 years was well worth the wait.
Opportunities to see sea lions and blue footed boobies and Galapagos lizards (Oh My!). Snorkeling among huge schools of fish, sting rays, and mating sea turtles, was very exciting. But the age old Galapagos tortoises were my personal favorite. Their elephant like legs carry them slowly for many miles as they migrate across the highlands to the sea for mating season.
Since most of the Galapagos animals don't have natural predators, they don't have a fear of us human visitors, and they politely pose for photographs from just a few few feet away. Galapagos is a magical kingdom of wonder.
