A number of sites connected to famed Catalan artist Salvador Dalí are found in the area around Palamós, including the Gala Dalí Castle. The legendary surrealist bought the medieval edifice for his wife (and only lived there himself after her death). After viewing the eccentrically decorated home, visitors can discover more Dalí works, including the sculptures of his iconic long-legged elephants, in the garden.
