Traversing Zeta Rapid
We were on a 10 day hike/whitewater trip through the Chilean Andes. This day we'd had a long hike up out of the valley, over the forested mountains and down to our crossing point at Zeta Rapid. We were all hot, sweaty and hungry. Our camp for the night was just the other side of Zeta Rapids and our traverse was over a Z-shaped waterfall. Being a senior, nervous about heights and not a good swimmer, this was my biggest challenge. But, food, rest and a hot tub in the natural stone waited for me on the other side.
