With an interior designed by Zébulon Perron (who also did Buvette Chez Simone and Hof Kelsten bakery), Furco is a cozy-cum-industrial spot in downtown Montreal, where tasteful tippling spots are few and far between. The atmosphere is a big part of the draw, with nooks and crannies for intimate twosomes as well as bigger group seating for after-work drinks. You may want to arrive before the 5 pm rush, because the place tends to fill up with the neighborhood’s staffers and stay full until closing. A perfect combo is a bottle of wine and a platter of their home-baked bruschetta pizzas.
