For nearly 50 years, the largest gay gathering in New Orleans has decorated the French Quarter with six days of decadence over Labor Day weekend (August 30-September 4, 2017). The parties draw more than 200,000 people ready to embrace the vibrant LGBT community. While dubbed Gay Mardi Gras, all sexual orientations can appreciate the merriment, which culminates with a grand parade featuring thematic costumes, marching bands, and festive floats.
