You’ll discover the true spirit of French Polynesia the moment you arrive. You’ll be greeted by an onboard troupe of Tahitian entertainers, Les Gauguines and Les Gauguins, who will also be your hosts for the voyage. These local Polynesians are eager to share their culture with you as they provide entertainment, lead Polynesian activities, crafts, and tell stories of local lore throughout your journey.

On select voyages, special guests are invited aboard and offer lectures, performances, workshops, wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, and more. Whether your interest is art, wine, cuisine, music, South Pacific history, science, or the wonders of the deep, you can find a voyage featuring an expert in the subject.

Each night aboard The Gauguin offers a variety of entertainment, from dancing al fresco at our La Palette lounge to trying your hand at the blackjack table in the ship’s casino. As the evening begins, perhaps you’ll watch the beautiful profile of Bora Bora’s Mount Otemanu recede from view during a sunset sail away. After dinner, every evening features lively entertainment in the Grand Salon, where you might see the Gauguines retell ancestral legends through dance, enjoy a performance of Broadway tunes, or be dazzled by the talents of our own crew. And La Palette’s indoor/outdoor dance floor is the perfect place to sway the night away to the rhythms of our charismatic onboard band.
