A Family Affair
A Family Affair
"Pontotoc" means “Land of Hanging Grapes,” and grapes have been planted in the soils around Pontotoc, Mason County, since 1872. The owners of Pontotoc Vineyard, Carl and Frances Money, purchased the historic German estate back in 2003, with the vision of fulfilling the land's original purposes and planting a vineyard. The entire family is involved in the operations of Pontotoc—from the planting and harvesting to the making and the bottling of the wine—making it a true family affair, and one that they are happy to share with visitors.
