Fossil Rim Wildlife Center-Children's Animal Center
A Conservation Success Story
Just over an hour southwest of Fort Worth, Fossil Rim sits on over 1,400 acres of land. Fossil Rim’s mission lies in conservation, and there are all types of animals on the grounds, from towering giraffes to cheetahs. In fact, since the mid 1980s when six cheetahs were introduced to Fossil Rim, over 150 cheetahs have been born here: a huge success story. Guests can stay in one of the five rooms at The Lodge, the original ranch house on the property that has been converted into a bed and breakfast. There are also Foothills Safari Tents, accommodations that resemble safari tents in Africa, for a unique experience.
