When Logan's Run filmed in and around Dallas and Houston in 1976, its dystopian vision of a future where you die on the "Carousel" at 30 rather than live to old age was the cutting edge of sci-fi. Today, its waaay 70s settings seem amusing and somewhat cheesy (think Farrah Fawcett and her 70s hair in all its glory!). Most of the Dallas and Houston locales like the Oz Club and the Dallas Market Center are no more, but the exterior of Logan's World, where the aged Peter Ustinov waits for Michael York and Jenny Agutter, is the active pool at Philip Johnson's Forth Worth Water Gardens. It still looks and sounds just as it does in the film. The pool also appears in the 1979 TV film The Lathe of Heaven.
