Restaurant, cafeteria, bookstore and small neighborhood theatre, Foro Shakespeare is generally off the tourist route. But catching one of its plays is a great way to spend an evening before heading out to one of the bars at Colonia Condesa.
Many of the plays presented at the Foro are suited for english speaking audiences. In May, for example, the theater presented a clown play called Guerra (photo), which was performed mostly in English. More recently, Adiós Carlota, a silent show of hyper realistic marionettes ran for a short season. Be sure to check their webpage.
