Buenos Aires is a wonderful place to eat, and the best way to discover that is on a food tour. Start by skipping breakfast. Then join a tour that will take you to feast on grilled beef in the city's famous parrillas (steak houses), to sample empanadas and choripán sandwiches (made with chorizo sausage) in off-the-beaten-path eateries in San Telmo or to taste some fine Malbecs at a wine bar in the Palermo Hollywood neighborhood. Whatever you choose to eat or drink, your tour should always end with either Argentine dulce de leche ice cream or the honey-and-almond cookies called alfajores.
