Viewed a wonderful exhibit at the Fondation de l'Hermitage
My family and I recently viewed a wonderful exhibit at the Fondation de l"Hermitage in Lausanne, Switzerland. Over 100 paintings were on display taken from their own rarely shown collection. Such masterpieces of Degas, Sisley, Vuillard Magritte were shown for all to enjoy. While my granddaughter, Lucia, and I enjoyed the beautiful Degas dancers, I was most impressed with the paintings of Francois Bocion. Bocion was a native of Lausanne and this was my introduction to his works. What a treat to see what Lac Leman and surrounding area looked liked in the 19th cent. Exhibit runs till May 20th.
