Fondation Claude Monet
An Afternoon in GivernyThe flowers in Claude Monet's garden still appeared resplendent the afternoon I spent there in early October. From the famous water lily pond to the colorful maison itself, it isn't difficult to see where the renowned painter got his inspiration.
If you have time, take the short walk down the road to the little parish church; in addition to the grave of the famous painter, you'll find the remnants of an ancient dolmen that, according to its marker, has been known to cure skin diseases.
Just a short hour ride from Paris, this little town is certainly worth the visit!
