Hiking out from Laguna Torre
Hiking along the Rio Fitz Roy, we had hoped to get a view of Cerro Torre, an iconic needle of granite in the midst of Los Glacieres National Park, but the tower was obscured by a spring snowstorm that was descending upon us. I snapped this photo as we began our ascent of the valley in our last hours of blue skies. In the background is Cerro Solo and the clouds of the storm swarming around us.
