Ferragamo Shoe Museum
2 Piazza di Santa Trinita
Ferragamo Shoe MuseumThis jewel box of a museum, located in the basement of the 13th-century Palazzo Spini Feroni where shoe designer Salvatore Ferragamo first set up shop in 1927, is a perfect antidote to too much Renaissance art. Anyone with even a vague interest in fashion will be enchanted by the fabulous array of shoes on display and the documentation of Ferragamo’s life and times. The collection includes shoes worn by Hollywood icons Ava Gardner, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn.
