Story of my Edible India, told in an absolutely stunning way in this video! This is just the way I would like to share my experience of India, with folks of my now homeland of America. India has me nostalgic on many levels. It's where I was born; many childhood years were spent here in small towns and big cities; my memories of food and antics that I would get up to, always hungry for more- driven mostly by the curiosity of my taste buds! But toda, as I think about India, far removed from it all, sitting here in America, I have come to recognize what I love about it most. Its the country's absolute contrasts, it's colors and chaos that all work together in perfect harmony. Stark contrast of the rich and the poor (as well told by the movie Slumdog millionaire); Of brightly dressed folks from my desert land of Rajasthan and the simplicity of people, clad mostly in white in the lush green tropical state of Kerala; Of diversity beyond belief; Of endurance, love and spirit that knows no bounds. Thats what makes me hungry for it- mind body and soul.
