Visiting Columbus' Bones
The 680 ft Faro a Colon was built in 1992 to commemorate 400 years Christopher Columbus first visited the Americas. Though it was originally constructed as a mausoleum (it's said to be the final resting place of Columbus' bones), it also functions as a museum, housing exhibits from other countries in the Americas, as well as Asia and Europe. Take a short taxi ride after visiting the beautiful lakes at Los Tres Ojos for a mini history lesson or just to take in the sheer size of the structure!
