I have mixed feelings about FarmBloomington. It's definitely a splurge-y type of restaurant, entrees land mostly in the $20-$30 range. The service can be suspect and the ambiance tries just a little too hard. But the fries, the fries! My preferred way to experience the food is to share a few appetizers and small plates while taking in a fancy drink or two.
The fries are an absolute must. Farm hits that french fry sweet spot keeping the fries thin with with plenty of potato flavor and texture. Tossed with garlic and red pepper flakes, there's just enough bite to keep your taste buds interested. Umami-rich parmesan adds another layer. And to top it off, dip the spuds in creamy dreamy turmeric aioli.
