Falkholts Dalslandskrog AB

Norebyn 12, 660 10 Dals Långed, Sweden

Carin and Christer Falkholt gravitated to Dalsland in 1995 after many years on the Stockholm and Gothenburg restaurant circuit. In this converted old school building on Lake Grann, the couple use local produce and pure ingredients with no ”unnecessary” additives and no gluten. “Eat well, feel better” is their motto. The menu is dependent on the season, weather and fortune. If moose is served, you can be sure that Christer has hunted and butchered the animal himself. The surrounding forest inspires dishes like lingonberry parfait with blueberries or venison stew with chanterelles. And their extensive wine cellar is heavy on the Bordeaux, mainly reds of course.
