The Falcon Souk is where locals and trainers come to buy training equipment for the much-prized hunting falcons -- remote controlled drones, burkas or hoods, perches, and camping gear. The souk also sells the birds themselves -- even at the end of the season, you might see a few hooded birds on perches, although only the young birds are likely to be bought for hunting. A private, ultramodern falcon hospital adjoins the building, as well as a small museum showcasing the ancient traditions of falconing in the region. All in all, an intriguing look at side of Dubai
not easily accessible to tourists.
