An elegant and sophisticated hotel in the nation's capitalThe Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC is conveniently located in DC’s West End, between Georgetown and Dupont Circle. Once you arrive at the lobby, you will have everything you need: luxury, elegance and professionalism in the nation’s capital.
The hotel offers an array of guestrooms and suites that fit everyone’s needs. From the Deluxe and Signature to the Fairmont Gold and Gold Signature guestrooms to the exclusivity of the newly refurbished Magnolia and Ambassador suites, you can have anything you wish. If you are a Fairmont Gold customer, you will enjoy the luxurious service of the Fairmont Gold Club Lounge on the 9th floor and you will have access to a private check-in and out, a deluxe buffet style breakfast, evening canapés and the most impressive candy bar found in a hotel! There is also the Juniper Restaurant and the Lobby Bar for those who desire a sophisticated dining experience.
I stayed in the Fairmont Gold guestroom. The 400-square-foot spacious, modern and stylish room included a king size bed and my personal table for the required business work. The newly redesigned guestroom features a different take on the capital, a D.C map on the accent wall behind the tufted headboard. The bathroom with a walk-in shower room is a pure luxury with its marble floors and plush cotton robe. I enjoyed the Le Labo products that smell roses, a welcoming note to the spring season. I found comfort after a long work day and wound down in front of the flat-screen TV in my sofa in the evening after enjoying a glass of wine at the Club Lounge. In the morning, you can start your day at the Balance Gym with a yoga or a pilates class before kicking off a busy day working or shopping in the trendy Georgetown neighborhood. I decided to relax at the Club Lounge with a cappuccino and fresh fruits enjoying the sunny views from the windows marking the beginning of the Cherry Blossom Festival. Just a bliss.
