Èze

A maze of narrow medieval streets wind up and down this village perched along the Grande Corniche. The ruins of a château are now an exotic garden, and the 18th-century neoclassical Notre Dame of the Assumption church is a national monument. Spectacular views inspire artists and artisans, and their galleries fill the village. Exceptional restaurants like the Château Eza are happy to welcome guests for a drink or a Michelin-starred meal as they relax and savor the scenery.

Nicest view in the world in Eze looking down at the Mediterranean sea in the French Riviera

Èze: Le Jardin d'Èze

The garden of Èze (also known as the exotic garden) is a jewel. If the grounds and the view over the Mediterranean don't take your breath away, check for a pulse! Going early is recommended, if only to have the garden to yourself and as few other visitors as possible. Boosts the serene vibe that the property exudes with its sublime statues, wide variety of exotic plants, ornamental pools, and million-euro view. Hike up to the garden through the picturesque old town about 30 to 60 minutes before it opens (and enjoy the sunrise in peace, while you wait), then meander back through town when you're ready and take in the shops or a bite to eat while everyone else is lining up to go to the garden. Perfect day trip by bus or car from nearby Nice!

Wine bar at Èze village

This small peaceful medieval village has shops, restaurants, and galleries on the corner of every alley. Came across this charming little wine bar late at night and decided to pay a visit the next day. We went there again, only to learn that the previous night was actually their last day of operation.

Provincial town with a fairytale flair.

This 14th century hilltop town was truly the highlight of my tour of Southern France. After the bustling cities of Nice and Marseille, this stone artist's haven not only gave a fantastic view of the Mediterranean, but also provided great shopping experience from local artists and craftsmen. You'll find amazing paintings, sculptures, and jewelry in this beautiful place. A gem on the Côte d'Azur.

Beautiful Eze Village

One of the most beautiful villages along the French Riviera, Eze Le Village is worth the short trip from Nice. Stroll the cobblestone lanes, stone homes, small gardens, little alleyways, cafes, restaurants and galleries.

Hillside, cobblestone city

Visited the city as part of a tour and have been wanting to go back ever since. Loved wandering the narrow cobblestone streets and stone buildings.
