Evita Museum
Eva Perón (1919-1952) might seem more like a character dreamed up by a novelist than a historical figure. The life of the beloved presidential wife who captivated millions, both in Argentina and around the world, before her early death is a fantastic tale of rags to riches, and power too. Among her many good works was a home she founded for single mothers in a Palermo mansion—which today houses the Evita Museum. The exhibits inside include her early film posters and a selection of pieces from her enviable wardrobe; a shop sells Evita-themed books, jewelry and memorabilia.
