The Guthrie Theatre is a blue behemoth in the midst of the old, Minneapolis flour mills. It could be an eyesore, but it's not. In fact, even if you're not going to catch a show (which are very much worthwhile), it's worth a visit. The first floor has a fantastic gift shop with unique fare for everyone on your list, and there's a restaurant with an excellent prix-fixe menu and wine list on the third floor.
Perhaps the best part? The views of the Endless Bridge from a deck enclave.
