Bathe in the Beautiful Salto Del Limón Falls

At around 120 feet high, easily 50 feet wide, and fed by the Arroyo Chico river barreling down from jungle peaks, El Salto del Limón Waterfall is an awe-inspiring addition to any Samana peninsula trip.

With family in tow, be sure to secure some horses and guides. From there, it's a short ride into the jungle, and before you knew it, you'll be basking in the magnificent spray of the falls!

Horses & Waterfalls

The journey to Cascada El Limon takes about 30 minutes on horseback. The trail is rocky and muddy and steep in some spots, but the horses are surefooted, and you'll have a guide walking nearby just in case your horse gets a little excited.

Once you arrive at the end of the trail, you'll take about 300 yards worth of stairs down to the Cascada El Limon. You're welcome to swim in the refreshing water so wear a bathing suit and cool off!

Afterward, you must walk back up the stairs - it doesn't take long, but it'll get your heart rate going so be prepared, and then it's back up on your horse for the 30 minute ride back to camp.
