El Parián

Listen to mariachi at El Parián
If you take the short trip from Guadalajara to the neighboring town of Tlaquepaque to check out its local pottery, make sure to take a break in the town square. At El Parían, a group of restaurants surrounding a bandstand, you can sit outside, sample regional dishes like birria or pozole, and drink a cazuela (a local citrus and tequila punch served in a clay pot) while filling your ears with music.
