Listen to mariachi at El Parián
If you take the short trip from
Guadalajara to the neighboring town of Tlaquepaque to check out its local pottery, make sure to take a break in the town square. At El Parían, a group of restaurants surrounding a bandstand, you can sit outside, sample regional dishes like birria or pozole, and drink a cazuela (a local citrus and tequila punch served in a clay pot) while filling your ears with music.
