13th century castle
The castle and its walls were built in the 13th century as a defensive position against the Norse. In the 1700's the castle was destroyed and left in ruins for about 200 years. Restoration began in the early 1900's to serve as a home. Today the castle looks like it would have in the 17th-18th centuries. Very worth a visit.
