The first of Top Chef Winner, Paul Qui's four East Side Kings food trucks, the Liberty Bar location remains the best food of the bunch and possibly the best food in town. Period.
Don't be afraid to hop a pedicab and leave the confines of downtown Austin to head to the far better side of Sixth Street, East of I-35.
After passing several hipster bars, you'll arrive at the Liberty Bar, which seems like a cool dive bar upon entering, but walk right through that, head to the back, and you will find yourself in an awesome backyard party, complete with picnic benches and the best food truck in a town famous for them.
Start with the beet fries, move onto the Poor Qui Buns (roasted pork belly in a steamed bun with hoisin sauce) and then finish with the Tori Meshi (deep-fried spicy chicken balls with mint, cilantro and jalapeno over a bed of Liberty Rice).
Wash it all down with several Tecates and you'll want to come back here every single night.
