Alabama History and 14,000 Little Pieces of Art from Around the World
The Earlyworks Childrens Museum is a great place for children, as it provides a hands-on way to learn about the early days of Alabama statehood through fun things like a talking tree and clock, the chance to dress up in period clothing, and a 46-foot keelboat to climb on. But upon entering the museum, you can't help but stand in awe of this two-story tree towering in the lobby. Jennifer Marsh and the International Fiber Collective created this project, and each of the 14,000 leaves were hand-crafted by people allover the world. Each leaf tells a story, and you will easily loose track of time as you lose yourself in each one you see.
