Eagle Beach
There’s no wonder this pristine strand on northwest coast has been called the best in the Caribbean time and time again. Its powdered white sands and crystal-clear waters are the stuff of beachy screen savers. Positioned in front of a series of low-slung hotels, the strand is inhabited by a series of shaded palapas and watersports outfitters. It’s also a popular spot for nesting turtles in spring and early summer. Keep your eyes peeled for the red or white markers indicating where they’ve laid their eggs. A nest can hold up to 80 eggs. Note: Like the island itself, the beach can be a bit windy.
