DuSable Museum of African American History

740 E 56th Pl, Chicago, IL 60637, USA

This amazing museum nestled on Chicago‘s South side, was named after the founder of Chicago, Jean Baptiste Pointe DuSable, an Afro-Frenchman. Founded in 1961 by Dr. Margaret Burroughs, visitors will be able to explore, understand and be inspired by the wealth of African-American history, culture and art. To add, I am studying to be a docent at this great institution.

DuSable's Mobile Museum

I had a great time working on the DuSable Museum’s Mobile Museum this week as a volunteer. We’re visiting schools and community organizations to share rich African-American history and culture!
