William Penn's Home
If you're in Princeton on a Wednesday, visit Drumthwacket, the former home of William Penn. Now the residence of the Governor of New Jersey, the property—with a fascinating barn and garden—is officially on the National Register of Historic Places and dates back to 1777. Guided tours are held only on Wednesdays and, while the tour is free, a donation of $5 is suggested to support the foundation. Make sure to schedule your visit a week in advance.
